What is rainbow summer camp?

We're a camp. Not a festival. We live together for ten days — on the land, in circles, round fires.
We start each morning with a big meeting — to connect and share what’s on.
We cook together. Eat together. Breathe together. There’s a wonderful soul-food café if you want it. A whole field full of magic if you’re up for it.It’s full of musicians, yogis, crafters, healers, wildlings, storytellers and sacred mischief-makers.Some things are laid on. Some things just... happen. That’s the co-creation part. It’s multigenerational. It’s gloriously unpolished. It works because everyone brings a little something — a skill, a song, a listening ear, a friendly smile or just a willingness to be part of it.

Why People Keep Coming Back

People keep coming back, year after year. Decade after decade! This is why...It’s not just the dancing, singing and music.
Or the food.
Or the yoga, massages, meditation and chanting.
It’s the feeling of finding your place.
Finding your people.
Being who you want to be.
Of not needing to explain yourself.
Of watching your kids run wild and be safe all at once.
Of being part of something that matters.
It’s connection. Tribe.
A found family built around the fire and the sharing of our stories.
It’s the everyday magic.
And the extraordinary magic.
The kind that sneaks up on you, somewhere between dancing wildly and doing the dishes, and stays in your bones long after you’ve gone home.

Our Values

We're not a festival. We hold morning meetings. There's a lot scheduled, but we try not to over-plan to leave space for the magic. There are very few rules - we prefer self responsibility. We hold and care for each other, respecting and celebrating our differences, wildness and weirdness!- Be the change you want to see
- Co-creation, not consumption
- Freedom, with kindness
- Responsibility and transformation
- Ceremony that welcomes all traditions, and none
We listen. We laugh. We wobble. We grow.
We laugh. A lot.

What People say

CAMP CHANGED MY LIFE"It literally did. I met my husband at camp. And my wonderful circle of sisters. I came when I was pregnant with my twins. Now I come with twin teenagers! I learnt to drum. I found my voice. But the best thing for me is still just living in circle with my found family of choice, cooking over the fire, feasting, laughing, playing music and just stepping OUT for ten beautiful days every year".GeorginaIF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR YOUR TRIBE YOU'VE FOUND US!"Rainbow Camp is the place to love, dance, grow, bond, relax, heal, flow… To nourish your body and soul in ways you didn’t realise you needed. It’s a place to be just as you are. Not just accepted — celebrated.Whether you come for the community, the connection, the silliness or the sacred — you’ll find something that feels like home. Friends who become family. Multigenerational wisdom. Earth, stars, and everything in between".— Camper since 2021FRIENDSHIP AND MAGIC"We come every year because it provides a unique small camp experience. There is a feeling of community, support and encouragement that we have not found in any other camp. From the welcome at the gate, to the morning meetings, workshops, therapists, rituals, bring and buy markets, evening entertainments, to the final closing ceremony.. there is a sort of warmth, friendship and magic that is so special to Rainbow Camp.
Wondering what to do at the end of this August? Come and join us and 'feel the lurve!'"
TonyWE'VE GROWN UP TOGETHERI’ve been coming for 25 years now.
I used to come with my kids — an affordable family holiday when money was tight.
Now they’re grown, I come on my own (sometimes with them visiting!)
and it feels like arriving in a small village of old friends. Many of us have grown up — or grown older — together.
It’s a welcoming, safe space.
You can do loads, or nothing at all.
I love bookending my days with circle dancing — a perfect way to start and end any day".
AlisonA HIPPY CAMP IN THE BEST POSSIBLE WAY"Hippy Camp is how I try to get the general feel in a short version! The long version is a space where we honour the uniqueness of everyone.
Where the sacred and the silly sit side by side.
Where you can belly laugh, wear wings, cry under the stars, or just be quiet in a field with good people.
It’s joy. It’s healing. It’s community."Dee
